Terms & Conditions

1. Vehicle Condition

Condition: Vehicles must be returned to the location/drop off point in the same condition as when it was picked up/delivered. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the vehicle is thoroughly checked prior to taking custody of the vehicle.

The client accepts responsibility for taking due care and attention of the vehicle. Failure to do so and loss or damage to the interior of the vehicle is deemed negligent and nullifies the insurance, the excess and any waivers taken. The client becomes responsible for all costs incurred.

Whilst in charge of the vehicle the client accepts responsibility for maintaining the roadworthiness of the vehicle and agrees to take remedial action to avoid unnecessary cost/damage. This will include maintaining oil levels, tyre pressures and other common sense actions to maintain the vehicle.

2. Pricing

Rental Rates: Daily Rental rates are based on a 24 hour "rental day" starting at the time of rental. The minimum charge is one day. The renter will be charged for each hour and/or any part of an hour in excess of a rental day the renter keeps the vehicle, until the vehicle is returned, up to the applicable daily rate.

Car rental minimum charge is counted as one day of 24 hours. In the case of car rental by hours, hourly charge is based on the sixth (1/6) of the applicable daily rate. *further inquiry please contact us.

All rates are quoted in the Ringgit Malaysia (RM), which is the local currency. Rates are also subject to change without prior notice.

Booking fee is essential to ensure the car is reserved.

MPV for long term (more than a month) - RM200, short term - RM100.

Other car types - RM100.

3. Delivery Charges (Per way)

Airport/office *, Bayan Lepas, Bayan Baru area. - Free delivery
Gelugor, Batu Maung, Relau area - RM20
Jelutong, Air Itam, Georgetown area - RM30
Gurney, Strait Quary and Tanjung Tokong area - RM40
Balik Pulau - RM50
Tanjung Bunga - RM60
Batu Ferringhi - RM 80

*airport / office (9-9pm) are both entitled for free delivery from 9am to 9pm

4. Mileage

Unlimited mileage allowance for all short term rentals, for further details please enquire at the time of booking.

5. Opening Hours

SD Easy opening hour is everyday 9.00am-6.00pm.

6. Out of Office Hour's Service

Out of office hours service is available, rentals will attract some charge payable on collection. Out of office hours requests are treated as on request and cannot be guaranteed.

After midnight may attract a higher fee or may not be available. Not all locations offer out of office hours returns and a 24 hour service should not be assumed where out of office hours service is offered. Please enquire at the time of booking.

7. Where Vehicle May Be Used (Mainland)

All SD Easy vehicles are insured for driving in West Malaysia only. No permission will be given for driving into Thailand and Singapore.

8. Methods of Payment

We accept all major credit and debit cards for payment. American Express and Diners are not generally accepted and may attract an administration charge – please enquire for confirmation. Cards must be in the driver’s name.

Cheques are not acceptable.

Cash is preferable.

9. Driver’s Licence and Age Qualifications

SD Easy recognises all current Malaysian driving licences. Overseas visitor may use recognised current issued by their country of residence. It is important that Renter and any additional drivers must be at least 21 years of age and over, and hold valid licences of at least one year. For new driver age under 21 years old please contact us for licences validation.

Provision drivers and newly qualified drivers are definitely prohibited from driving SD Easy vehicle.

SD Easy reserves the right to decline a prospective renter whose driving license carries an endorsement.


10. Fines, Penalties and Administration Charges

It is the responsibility of each hirer to cover the cost of any parking fines and traffic violations. When fines or traffic violations occur and SD Easy is involved in administering the violation an administration fee will be charged. The charge is location specific, please check with at the time of booking for details. This is a non waiverable fee.

11. Delayed Collections/ No show policy/ Late Charges

For late collection or return vehicle which is more than 15 minutes grace period (waiting at the agreed location and time), late charges will incur.

No refunds will be given for rentals ended early, late collections, no shows or cancellations made after the rental start date, even if cancellation protection is taken.

12. Cancellation Policy/ Administration Charge

If a reservation is not collected or not cancelled in advance of the start time then SD Easy will levy a charge.

For pay on arrival reservations made online, the no-show/cancellation fee will equal pre-paid deposit. No refund will be due.

For fully pre-paid reservations made online, the amount due for no-show/cancellation’s will be calculated in line with the below:

All early bird offer / discount / promotion - No booking fee will be refunded.

Normal price - 50% of the booking fee will be refunded for any cancellation made before 7days of the actual car rental date. Any cancellation made within 7 days of the actual car rental date will NOT be refunded.

The notice period is based on a day being a 24 hour period, up to the start time, not a calendar day.

13. Early Returns/Unused Rental Days

No refunds (partial or full) will be given for charges ended early.

14. Rental Extensions

Please note that it may not always be possible to extend the hire. If extending the hire is agreed, the rental will be charged at the prevailing rate which may be higher or lower than the original booking rate.

Any extension of rental beyond the agreed return date and time must be arranged in advance with the required additional rental paid, to ensure that the extension of insurance cover can be arranged.

15. Delivery and Collection

A delivery and collection service may be available within normal opening hours. Charges will apply. Please contact the location for details.

16. Lost Keys

SD Easy will charge if keys are lost or damaged. Please note that if a vehicle is stolen and keys are not returned to the rental location, the hirer will be deemed negligent and insurance is deemed void. Lost keys are deemed as negligence and are not covered under the insurance excess or risk reduction packages. Drivers will be liable for all costs relating to recovery, loss of use and repair. This list is not exhaustive.

17. Fuel Policy

Vehicles are supplied on a like for like basis meaning the vehicle should be returned with the same level of fuel supplied. The level of fuel supplied is not guaranteed. Fuel is at the hirers expense. Hirers are recommended to return the car with the same fuel to avoid charges.

18. Smoking

SD Easy operates a no smoking policy for all vehicles. If you have smoked or allowed smoking within the vehicle charges will apply. This includes allowing cigarette (or cigar) smoke or ash into the vehicle, which would imply the above. Please contact at the time of booking for charges details.

19. Valeting/Animals in our vehicles

We request no animals are transported in our vehicle. A valeting fee may be applied to rectify any soiling due to animal transportation.

In the event that a vehicle is returned in an unclean condition (internally or externally) and requires more than our standard clean, a valeting charge will apply. Hazardous soiling requiring specialist cleaning will be charged according to the nature of the specialist required.

20. Late Returns

A vehicle is hired for a contracted period as detailed on the rental agreement. There is a grace period at the end of a hire after which an extra days hire will automatically fall due.

After the grace period SD Easy will class the booking as late back and additional charges will fall due. The prevailing daily rate will apply and will include any billable optional extras such as baby seats, additional drivers or damage waivers. The charge will be applied to the card used for security at the start of the hire. Please ask for details at the time of booking.
